Standard Bank wanted to reach busy urban consumers who rarely visited branches but spent time in shopping malls. The challenge was to introduce banking products in a setting that feels informal and non‑intimidating.
Blitz Solution
Blitz designed mall activation setups that blended brand visibility with one‑on‑one conversations. The idea was to create approachable “banking corners” inside the mall, where passers‑by could ask questions and explore products on their own terms.
Execution
At selected malls, branded stands staffed with trained promoters and bank representatives engaged shoppers, demonstrated digital solutions, and shared product information. Light interactive elements and giveaways helped draw foot traffic and start conversations.
Results
The activations increased leads and sign‑ups for key products while strengthening awareness of Standard Bank’s digital and branch services. Shoppers experienced the bank in a more relaxed environment, helping to humanise the brand and open new relationships.
